Meteorology

4-week Meteorological Observer’s course The course offers an introduction to Meteorology and a few of the aspects of meteorology.

The course includes:

  • Meteorological observation and measurement techniques
  • Meteorological database entry and data retrieval practices
  • Exposure to global weather systems and their impacts
  • Exposure to weather forecasting, Agrometeorology and climate change issues
  • This summer course targets students at the 5th form level and above. Secondary school students, who will be entering 5th form in September, 2008 will be accepted. The course is also open to teachers/trainers at secondary and tertiary level institutions. Dates: July 07, 2008 – July 31, 2008 Price: $200 (for students) and $350 (for teachers/trainers) Deadline for expressing interest: June 27, 2008. All fees payable by July 04, 2008.

    Hydrology

    4-week Hydrological Observer’s course

    The course is very practical and focuses on field hydrology. The course covers:

  • Hydrological database entry and data retrieval practices
  • Hydrological observation and measurement techniques
  • Hydrological field skills
  • This summer course targets students at the 5th form level and above. Secondary school students, who will be entering 5th form in September, 2008 will be accepted. The course is also open to teachers/trainers at secondary and tertiary level institutions.
    Dates: July 07, 2008 – July 31, 2008
    Price: $200 (for students) and $350 (for teachers/trainers)
    Deadline for expressing interest: June 27, 2008. All fees payable by July 04, 2008.
