The Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH) is pleased to announce that the summer course is scheduled to commence on Monday, July 16, 2007 ending on Friday, August 10, 2007.

 

The course is very practical and focuses on field hydrology. Participants will be exposed to the basic principles involved in hydrology along with measuring techniques used in the field to estimate hydrological data. Topics to be covered include:

 

Working in the field

Data collection: Why?

Databases

Estimating rainfall

Estimating streamflow

Estimating evaporation

Hydrology: A career choice

 

Interested persons should contact CIMH by July 5, 2007. All fees payable by July 12, 2007.
