NEW COURSE FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS AND TRAINERS

 

 

  Weather and Water Camp: A 4-week Hydrological and Meteorological Observer’s course

  The course offers an introduction to Meteorology and Hydrology. It is practical and focusses on a few of the aspects of     Meteorology    and  field Hydrology. The course includes:

l  Observation and measurement techniques

l  Database entry and data retrieval practices

l  Exposure to global weather systems and their impacts

l  Exposure to weather forecasting, Agrometeorology and climate change issues

l  Applications of the Earth Sciences

 

  This summer course targets students at the 5th form level and above. Secondary school students, who will be entering 5th form in    

  September, 2010 will be accepted. The course is also open to teachers/trainers at secondary and tertiary level institutions.

  Dates: June 28th – July 23rd

  Price: $200 (for students) and $350 (for teachers/trainers)

  Deadline for expressing interest: June 21st, 2010. All fees payable by June 28th 2010.
